BAJRA (PEARL MILLET SOUP)

INGREDIENTS
- 1 tbsp. cold pressed sesame oil
- ½ cup bajra flour
- 10-12 cherry tomatoes
- 1 carrot (medium sized)
- 1 pinch turmeric powder
- 3 cups water
- salt to taste
- black pepper powder to taste
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- mint leaves for garnishing
COOKING STEPS
Step 1:
Warm the sesame oil over medium heat in a deep pan & add the bajra flour and roast it until you get an aroma
Step 2:
Add water followed by salt and turmeric powder
Step 3:
Let it come to a boil, then add the finely chopped carrot & halved cherry tomatoes
Step 4:
Once it starts to thicken & settle, add the mint leaves
Step 5:
Let it all cook on a low flame for 7 - 8 mins. & then turn off the flame
Step 6:
Add black pepper powder, a few drops of lemon juice & a few mint leaves to each bowl when serving.
Serve Hot!
